“The summer artist-in-residence program has been immensely important to the development of Pilchuck Glass School as an interdisciplinary arts education center. Including artists in the summer program who work across a broad range of media and concerns enriches the experience of all session participants. Pilchuck’s summer residency program also increases the number and diversity of professional artists using glass.

Participating artists are invited by the Artistic Director and have diverse backgrounds and aesthetics: not only do they bring fresh eyes to the traditions of glassmaking, but their Pilchuck experience results in a wide range of innovative new works during and after the residencies.”
