Artist Talk – University of the Arts Philadelphia

I was recently invited by Kristine Marx (artist and Director of Core Studies) to gave a talk at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia. The recently re-designed curriculum places a higher emphasis on interdisciplinary work and provides more context within which students from different disciplines can work together. This is of course right up my alley and I talked about my own peregrinating path as an artist, the impact of others and the importance of chance, failure and the unknown. I also started the talk with about 6 minutes without words as I demonstrated some amplified sonic transformations.
