2015 Residency at Ionion Center with Artist Craig Dongoski

In July 2015 I will be joining the artist Craig Dongoski in a residency project at the Ionion Center for Arts and Culture on the Greek Island of Kefalonia.

Siren Earthquake Radio will explore the environment, culture and history of the island. It is comprised of three components: SIREN will be a fluid participatory event in the water-filled Melassani Cave that uses the visiting tourist boats as feedback mechanisms which respond to the cave and to each other; EARTHQUAKE, will be a performance at the Ionion Center in conversation with local Kefalonian artists, musicians and poets and will use the island’s seismic activity as a catalyst; RADIO will be a series of broadcasts on Kefalonia’s radio station Ionion Galaxy that will present the daily and evolving work produced during our time in Kefalonia, including the results of workshops and events with the people of Kefalonia.
