PARTICIPANTS
The Simultaneous Translation team was initiated through conversations held in various on-line servers (Hotline & KDX). While these servers exist mainly for file trading they are also a hotbed of artistic collaboration. People who have never met in the flesh discuss their interests and begin to develop projects together.

Chat_Alpha
This chat application was made for the 'douche-electrique' festival, a
distant on-line performance with musician from Lille. We were relaying
and modifying their sound in Nantes which was then amplified on stage.
This chat was projected so the audience could get a better understanding
of what was going on behind the scenes between the stage and the distant
performers. The chat is connected to search engines so while the performers
are talking, requests are sent to search engines, and pictures are downloaded,
displayed and animated.
