Among my many sound related activities is the capture of sounds out there, in the world. The field recordings run the gamut in terms of their subject and also the equipment I use, from professional parabolic microphones to my handy iphone. This recording was quickly grabbed on my iphone. It was captured at the end of pier 6 in Brooklyn.

The title comes from the album Sacred Flute Music of New Guinea.

As I approached the end of the pier I heard the familiar flutes, only to find that it was wind whistling through a hole in one of the fence posts.

You can find a selection of my field recordings here.
