Kids love making noise, so what could be better than a workshop about sound with a group of grade-schoolers? In this hands on workshop we worked together to create all of the sounds to depict a day at the playground interrupted by a thunderstorm. Here’s the blurb for the workshop:
Explore the world of sound. Have you ever listened to a storm? What are the noises you hear at the beginning when the rain starts? What about the wind? The thunder? In this project you will create these sounds (a different one each week) using unexpected STUFF and instruments you will build yourself! We will record the results each week and put them all together for one whopping storm on the final day!
